SN74HC148N (74HC148)

SN74HC148N (74HC148)

800.00

Description:

The SN74HC148N is a high-speed CMOS 8-to-3 line priority encoder. This device accepts data from up to eight active-low inputs (A0 to A7) and provides a binary representation of the highest priority active input on a 3-bit output (Y0 to Y2). The SN74HC148N also features an active-low enable input (EI) and an active-low enable output (EO), which can be used for cascading multiple encoders to handle larger input sets.

Key Features:

  • 8-to-3 line priority encoder
  • High-speed CMOS technology
  • Active-low inputs and outputs
  • Enable input and output for cascading
  • Wide operating voltage range: 2V to 6V
  • Low power consumption
  • High noise immunity
  • Standard 16-pin DIP package

Technical Specifications:

  • Package Type: 16-pin DIP
  • Supply Voltage (V_CC): 2V to 6V
  • Input Voltage (V_IN): 0V to V_CC
  • Output Voltage (V_OUT): 0V to V_CC
  • Input High Voltage (V_IH): 3.15V (minimum) at V_CC = 6V
  • Input Low Voltage (V_IL): 1.35V (maximum) at V_CC = 6V
  • Output Current (I_O): ±25mA
  • Quiescent Supply Current (I_CC): 8µA (maximum)
  • Propagation Delay Time: 24ns (typical) at V_CC = 5V, C_L = 15pF
  • Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +85°C

Applications:

  • Data Selection: Prioritizing and encoding multiple data inputs.
  • Signal Multiplexing: Combining multiple signals into a single line.
  • Digital Systems: Implementing priority logic in microprocessors and other digital circuits.
  • Control Systems: Selecting control signals based on priority.
