NE556N

NE556N

800.00

Description:
The NE556N is a dual version of the 555 timer IC, housed in a 14-pin package. It combines two independent 555 timers into a single chip, making it ideal for applications requiring multiple timing operations. Each timer is capable of producing accurate time delays or oscillation and can be used in monostable (one-shot) or astable (oscillatory) modes.

Key Features:

  • Two independent 555 timer circuits in one package
  • Wide operating voltage range: 4.5V to 15V
  • High output current capability: up to 200 mA per timer
  • Adjustable duty cycle
  • Timing from microseconds to hours
  • Low power consumption
  • High temperature stability
  • TTL and CMOS compatible
  • Internal frequency compensation

Technical Specifications:

  • Package Type: PDIP-14
  • Supply Voltage Range: 4.5V to 15V
  • Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to +70°C
  • Output Current: 200 mA (maximum per timer)
  • Frequency: Adjustable
  • Dimensions: 19.3 mm x 6.35 mm x 4.57 mm
  • Weight: 1.7 g

Applications:

  • Timing Circuits: Used for generating precise time delays in various applications.

SKU: 2016 Category:

The NE556, SA556 and SE556 dual monolithic
timing circuits are highly stable controllers
capable of producing accurate time delays or
oscillation. In the time delay mode of operation,
the time is precisely controlled by one external
resistor and capacitor. For a stable operation as
an oscillator, the free running frequency and the
duty cycle are both accurately controlled with two
external resistors and one capacitor.
The circuits may be triggered and reset on falling
waveforms, and the output structure can source
or sink up to 200 mA.

■ Low turn-off time
■ Maximum operating frequency greater than
500 kHz
■ Timing from microseconds to hours
■ Operates in both astable and monostable
modes
■ Output can source or sink up to 200 mA
■ Adjustable duty cycle
■ TTL compatible
■ Temperature stability of 0.005% per °C
