The ULN2004 is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array integrated circuit (IC). Manufactured by various semiconductor companies, including Texas Instruments and STMicroelectronics, this IC consists of seven Darlington pairs that can be used to control a variety of inductive and resistive loads. Each Darlington pair can handle up to 500mA of continuous current and withstands peak currents of up to 600mA. The ULN2004 is commonly used in applications where driving relays, stepper motors, LEDs, and other high-current devices is required.
